The heart charkra is an emerald-green receptive yin energy center; it is the bridge that connects the three lower body chakras with the three spirit chakras above. It is the centerpoint of the primary emotional energy of the universe, which we call love.  An activated and balanced heart chakra allows us all to give and receive love genuinely, and to feel empathy and compassion both for oneself and others.  It allows the steady flow of energy between all the chakras, providing a deeper understanding of the interaction between the physical and spiritual worlds.  God is love, and with activation of the heart chakra we are able to increase our awareness of God, our creator, through simultaneous awakening of the crown chakra or "Christ Consciousness" where the Holy Spirit flows downward into all our physical and energetic bodies providing ultimate healing and transcendence.  We are truly able to experience radical freedom and transformation with a balanced, compassionate, and peaceful heart.
