The Celtic cross is a religious symbol originated during the early Middle Ages in Ireland.  Some believe Saint Patrick introduced he Celtic cross, which combined the symbol of Christianity with the ancient sun cross, to convert pagans to Christianity.  Today, the Celtic cross symbolizes the eternal and infinite love of God, depicted through Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross.  It represents the meeting place of all divine energies.
